Stewie wears the dress because it's orphanage uniform. Red, tidy, borrowed from a hundred forgotten kids before him. Easier to manage them that way. Easier to pretend they're all the same. He's not Annie though. Annie smiled, Stewie doesn't. The orphanage is brick, cold, and full of "maybe tomorrow." The dress hangs loose, the teddy bear drags behind, one ear stitched like it's been through things. Stewie stands on the step, unimpressed, curls blazing like quiet rebellion.
